“you shouldn’t put random information dumps in your stories” yes you should, do whatever the hell you want. tolkien did that, scott lynch too — the list goes on and on.
it’s alright to have a character rambling about the world they live in, because it’s not about the amount of information you write, but how you write it. what’s a world without its details? c'mon go crazy, tell your reader about the weirdest things that exist on the lands you created. it adds life to the words.
