Do you have writing habits or rituals? – umm i have certain places I sit.i can’t just sit or write anywhere, i’m very specific about those. definitely can’t have anything but instrumental/classical/choral/soundtrack music on; sometimes i’ll turn it off and just work in silence. oh, and a drink, usually tea lol
5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most. – oooh interesting, style i would say…probably hilary mantel? i’ve re-read the wolf hall series so many times, and there was a long-ago draft that was actually written in present-tense bc i wanted to ape wolf hall so much haha. (it’s now past tense bc present tense just didn’t work) but the more i think about and read back the draft i’m writing now, the more i think…yeah i’m really pulling on similar things to what she is; i’m trying to create characters as three-dimensional as hers are. (trying being the operative word in the sentence lol)
23. Single or multi POV, and why? – for my WIP, definitely multi POV. in early early incarnations, it was even more diffuse than that and was basically a four/five POV story. now it’s just two – two protagonists, different narratives that come together and eventually dovetail. though in terms of me as a reader i think i prefer single POV? i often find multi quite frustrating to read bc authors always end them on cliffhangers (but i’ve made sure to not really do that as such).

Yessss omg TDA was exactly what I was thinking of when I was writing that — GoT is also a bit like that, some characters are just like 🙄

same on the rituals - gotta have a cuppa and those scores on haha. Also interesting on the POV, it can get quite frustrating as a reader when there’s so many POVs and it switches to one(s) you just don’t really care about (Emma in TDA comes to mind lol)
